Our first retaliatory step was to anchor a medium tower in MSHD-4, start camping M-OEE8 and completely dominate the traffic in Tribute. Standings were double-checked and then NBSI orders were issued. Still angry and stinging from the capital yard loss, our pilots went mad. Tribute and Vale saw the majority of our attention, with a few raids into Venal on the side. Over a thirteen day period, MC pilots racked up over 1300 kills, including 100 battleships, for less than 100 total losses. Over 1,000 enemy pods were also destroyed, 900 of them in Tribute. It was impressive but not enough. Our pilots and our client wanted to see something more concrete to take the pressure off of Querious and Fountain. More importantly, we wanted to start making a difference in the war and not just rack up some good statistics. Several plans were thought up and then trashed. One plan was almost set into motion only to be halted as a better one became obvious. We were going back to a place we’d helped build for peace, long dismissed as a bad spot of real estate. That perception would soon change forever… |
