Querious and Lonetrek

“Hit them where it hurts the most – their wallets."

L5D Countdown

Our offical contract on the Northern Coalition began on 27 February 2007.  The goals were simple. “Distract and, if possible, destroy the Northern Coalition alliances.”

Having just stonewalled AAA’s attack on our home in Period Basis, a large portion of our capital fleet was already in the south so Alliance Command decided to put it to good use.  In order to reach our home space, an enemy capital fleet’s most direct course is to move through Querious.  9CG6-H is the linchpin of the region; whoever controls that system can jump into almost all of the strategic systems in Period Basis and Delve.  It was imperative that we help BoB and FIX close that door.

We first turned our efforts to reinforcing our home systems in anticipation of further assaults. Shrike was kind enough to assist in this.

Within the next days, MC Motherships and carriers began by helping to seal off and control the northern entrances into Querious.  3-FKCZ turned into a shooting gallery as FIX tacklers swarmed over enemy fleets, holding them in place for our fighters to tear apart.

In 9CG6-H, Razor continued to spam starbases with up to twenty-two hardeners.  For the first time, MC and BoB capital ships were in the same gang and for a few days fleets of up to fifty dreads worked to eliminate the spam in 9CG.  We would have stuck around, but we had other plans.

"2007.03.09 15:58
Mercenary Coalition has declared war on Dusk and Dawn."

Declaring an Empire war on D2 again, the MC moved north into the low sec system of Otsasai and began the systematic destruction of over a dozen large D2 industry starbases in northern Lonetrek.  Most these towers were T2 component producers or moon mining chain reactors.  Kills numbers were low, but billions in damage was dealt out as our capital fleet hit every industry tower of every size in jump range while beginning raids into Morsus Mihi and Hydra space.
